April 27, 2018: My top 3 Ottawa Today interviews from this week

Brendan Lyons

Albany Times Union senior writer, Brendan Lyons, joined me to discuss the alleged 'sex cult' NXIVM. The group started as “Executive Success Programs” and held leadership programs in the late 1990s in up state New York. NXIYM started as an offshoot of this program, but concerns have been raised about the bizarre behaviour due to allegations of blackmail and sexual coercion. Listen here for the full story.

Phil Gurski

President and CEO of Borealis Threat and Risk Consulting, Phil Gurski, joined me to discuss the Toronto van attack. INCEL is a term floating around at the moment, and it’s used to describe men who are involuntary celibate. Gurski says that it's too early at this time to pinpoint the motivation of the attack because we need to understand the big picture. Listen here for the full story.

Mayor Jim Watson

Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson joined me to discuss the Toronto van attack, Eugene Melnyk and other topics. The Mayor is planning to discuss the attack in Toronto in further detail to better prepare for the future and says that there are already a few precautionary measures in place to Ottawa as safe as possible.
