March 2, 2018: My top 3 Ottawa Today interviews from this week

Jill Clark, Entertainment and Pop Culture expert

Entertainment and Pop Culture expert Jill Clark joins me for a brand new segment, “The Culture Catch-Up”, to talk about the 90th Academy Awards. This year, the Best Picture category features 10 films that cross over genres that aren’t typically showcased in such an esteemed category. Clark also anticipates that there will be a more political edge to the Oscars this year in light of the Time’s Up and Me Too movements that have featured prominently in Hollywood this year. Listen to the full interview for more Oscar talk and tune in every Thursday for more of “The Culture Catch-Up”.

Tanya Granic Allen, Ontario PC Party leadership candidate

Ontario PC Party leadership candidate Tanya Granic Allen joined me on Ottawa Today to discuss her campaign. Allen is focused on moving on from the Patrick Brown scandal and any corruption within the party that has been unearthed in the past few weeks. In order to maintain and highlight the constitution of the party, she is focused on running a positive and clean campaign that will deal with energy poverty issues in Ontario among other things. Listen here for the full interview.

Doug Ford, Ontario PC Party leadership candidate

This week, Ontario PC leadership candidate Doug Ford, joined me in studio to discuss his leadership platform. Ford believes that this is going to be the most critical election in Ontario’s history. He’s focused on upholding true conservative values and holding his party accountable because he believes that the election process is “crooked”. Listen to the full interview to hear Ford’s thoughts and concerns about the upcoming election.
